My name is Savannah Benko and I am currently in my pre-internship at the University of Regina in the Elementary Education program. I am a white, female Canadian with settler-ancestry and reside on the land we share called treaty four.
My background of education has been working as an Educational Assistant, teachers assistant at Montessori School, running summer programs, working with children with autism, and also owning and running my own kids yoga business for 4 years now. Over the years I have spent a vast majority of my time learning through each and every experience whether it was taking a course or working with children from all walks of life. I am continually striving to grow as a teacher and as a person, learning new things along the way and always keeping an open mind to be the best teacher I can be for my students.
When I am not at school I am a busy mom to a twelve-year-old son named Naveo, who is very involved in various sports his favourite being hockey. I love to stay active whenever I have the chance I love practicing yoga, running and playing beach volleyball.
